Come, take a wonderfully relaxing holiday on a beautiful wine domaine in a peaceful setting, close to the beach, Pezenas and Montpellier.
There are two properties for rent at La Vernazobre: Maison Grenache and Apartment Chardonnay. Each property has 3 bedrooms and access to the pool nestled in the vineyards.

The apartment and house are about 20m apart. They have simple, comfortable furnishings and and overlook the Domaine. The proprietor, Christophe de Beauregard, would be only too pleased to present his excellent wine to you in person in the attractive wine-cellar. La Vernazobre has proved very popular with guests some of whom come back year after year for the friendly atmosphere and perfect position.
Apartment Chardonnay (70 m²) is on the first floor. Cheerfully decorated in shades of yellow and green this apartment can sleep up to 5 people. There is a living room with table, chairs and sideboard and a kitchenette with gas cooker, large fridge/freezer and electric kettle. The bathroom contains a shower, hand basin and toilet. There is a barbecue area outside with garden furniture

Maison Grenache (80m²) This house is on three floors and can sleep up to 6 people. On the ground floor is the living area / kitchen with table and chairs, cooker, large fridge, electric kettle, and washing machine there is also a toilet.The three bedrooms are all upstairs. The house is situated across the courtyard from the main building and the apartment, and there is a very pleasant terrace with a trellis covered in greenery and flowers in the summer. There is plenty of garden furniture and a barbecue.

You will find plenty of space for having a quiet afternoon with a book, walking, or just lazing around. The Domaine is quietly situated some distance from the nearest road. It should be noted that the owners swimming pool which is available to the guests is not fenced but has an in pool alarm and therefore care needs to be exercised with small children.
It is only minutes from the beaches of the Mediterranean and less than an hours drive from the Haut Languedoc National Park, a walkers paradise of mountains and gorges. La Vernazobre has been a wine producing domaine for centuries and is situated in a typically beautiful landscape of vines stretching from the sea to the Cévennes hills. The atmosphere here is friendly and relaxed and fluent English is spoken. Christophe, the owner has a private swimming pool, which is available for use by guests. There is also internet access for guests.
La Vernazobre is perfectly placed for the Mediterranean; the nearest beaches can be reached in just 10 minutes.
As well as beaches, there are beautiful lakes, mountains and gorges within one hours drive.
The area has a large numbers of medieval towns and villages to visit including Pezenas, St Guilhem-le-Desert and the city of Carcassonne. Just over hours drive will take you to the heart of Cathar country with imposing castles and monastries such as Montsegur and Queribus. Below are some more of the nearby attractions.
40 minutes drive from La Vernazobre is the holiday resort of Cap d’Agde. It has some 14 kms of fine beaches and many attractions for the children like Toonland and the famous Aqualand with its giant flumes, water slides and wave machine as well as a super tots area for the very young. The town also has a super yacht harbour with many good family restaurants and fashion shops. There is also a water bus which takes you on a tour of the whole of the Cap D’Agde harbour.
Only 10 mins drive from La Vernazobre , Meze is a delightful little town with a wonderful harbour and lots of narrow winding streets. It is situated on the Bassin de Thau (the large inland lagoon connected to the Med.) and is an important centre for oyster and mussel farming. Huge oyster beds are a local industry and seafood is available everywhere. There are small beaches to both sides of the harbour, which are clean, and the water is shallow, ideal for children. Take lunch at one of the many restaurants surrounding the harbour where you will find some of the most wonderful seafood dishes. If you need to walk off your lunch then stroll up to the 15th century church, or the nearby village of Bouzigues.
Only 6km away is the medieval town of Pezenas. Here you can explore the winding cobbled streets and can watch local craftsmen blowing glass, making jewellery or potting the local brightly coloured Provencal ceramics. After a morning of discovering the arts and crafts gift shops and artists galleries you will be ready to drop into one of Pezenas's many colourful cafes and restaurants either in the old town square or tucked away in the many ancient twisting alleyways Saturday is market day and Pezenas offers a wealth of local produce, flower stalls, and colourful clothing accompanied by the sounds of jazz or local folk groups
